Abstract:

Hybrid of Fe3O4/Graphene are successfully synthesized by using graphene oxide (GO) as a supporting matrix. GO is first synthesized then Fe3O4 reduced in situ on GO nanosheets to form Fe3O4-GO hybrid composites. The structures, properties and applications of the hybrids thus obtained are investigated by Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Stability of the nanofluid was investigated at a different Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) surfactant from 0.1 to 0.4%. Furthermore, modification of density of the nanofluid with temperature and nanoparticle concentration was evaluated. FTIR and SEM shows the linkage of Fe3O4 to GO nanosheet, and XRD confirm nanoparticle size. Density measurements of the nanofluid calculations for the base fluid indicated that the experimental data are in good agreement with the theoretical models.
