Abstract:

Nikolay Konstantinovich Roerich – one of the most outstanding persons in a remarkable galaxy of Russian thinkers and artists of the first half of the XX century. He was the artist, the writer and the poet, the scientist and the traveler, the public figure and the deep thinker-cosmist. His graphic canvas are the embodiment of his philosophical outlook, as well as his sketches and verses, his literary works could be described as painting by the words . He was the historian and the archeologist, who has made some expeditions about Russia, Central and East Asia, he was the expert on Russian, Asian and European cultures, and the greater part of his life he has devoted to searching of their common historical roots. According to this concept, culture is not a simple set of artefacts and texts, but, first of all - cult-Ur, worship of Light . …The Culture is that shelterwhere the human spirit find ways to religion and to all cultural and educational and fine . The special place in sketches about Russia is borrowed with N.K.Roerich s ideas about Russian temple architecture. From the point of view of modern concepts of geocultural space the question is in visualization of the sacral contents of Russian cultural landscape. The temple itself is the expression of connection between the Earth and the Sky,the space with is both geographical and transcendental. The temples, which are the most esteemed in Russia, are the central places of a spiritual, sacral landscape of Russia, its morphological basis. The Indestructible Kievo-Sofia Wall is standing and will be standing. All in all it is indestructible! Bogoroditsa (Madonna) is the Indestructible Wall! In pronouncing such national name, such call of the belief, one can recollect the sametemples and images, inseparable from the idea of Russia . If to examine the national culture in indissoluble connection with the historicalpersons creating it, the culture of Russia in Roerich literary heritage is represented as monocentric formation. The central legendary-historic figure on whom the image of Russia keeps, is Saint Sergii Radonezhskii. The space of Russian culture is sated with spiritual magnets of temples and memorable places, united by traditions and legends. The sacred space usually has two variants of its interpretation, not only as a sacredtext but also as an icon – like the gate to the Eternity of God (or to the evil undegraund reality, the Hades). The study of its symbolism demands appropriate knowledge on the signified. We tend to comprehend the processes of transcendental categories exposure in the geocultural space. Comprehending of the space in the cultural context leads to new understanding of its organization, morphology, and directs to new opportunities in modeling geocultural interactions. landscapes transformed by culture that bear the feeling and semantics of endlessness awake the soul of an individual for action, his/her inside and outside search in the limitless Universe
