Abstract:

Introduction: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neuroinflammatory disease of the central nervous system. Ithas been reported that astrocytes in plaque regions and white matter of MS patient regardless of normalappearance, lack β2-adrenergic receptors (ADRB2). Studies demonstrate that dysfunction of the astrocytic β2-adrenergic-pathway, may play a key role in the pathogenesis of various neurological diseases such as MS. It hasbeen suggested that epigenetic mechanisms are involved in ADRB2 disappearing in astrocytes of MS patients. Methods: Using UCSC (https://genome.ucsc.edu/), ChIPBase (http://deepbase.sysu.edu.cn/chipbase/),EpiFactors (http://epifactors.autosome.ru/), LncRNA2target (https://mlg.hit.edu.cn/lncrna2targe) Databases, theregulatory region of ADRB2 gene was examined for possible relevant Long-Non Coding RNAs (LncRNAs).Results: Obtained data showed that about 10 LncRNAs have potential to affect the ADRB2 gene expression.
