Abstract:

The irrigation network as the most costly structure in construction and operation has been a matter of controversy. Inspite of numerous studies, the performance of mentioned structures is far from foregone status. This study aims to apply the concept of risk in the management of irrigation network. In this regard,a risk management framework has been developed for irrigation network in which base on the expert knowledge and the most important threatening hazards, some management scenarios are defined to counter the probability of occurrence of a hazard or decrease the consequence of their occurrence or enhance the vulnerability of against the hazards. Selecting the most proper structure has multi-criteria inherent and involve the manager, stakeholders and etc. so to have a systematic decision making simple additive weighting approach(SAW), a well-known multi-attribute decision-making approach, was adopted. According to result among six defined scenarios.Scenario number 4, maintenance improvement selected as the best scenario andapplication of centralized control method and local control ranked at the next position
