Second language researchers in a global trend are following meta-analysis as a statistical and systematic approach to reviewing to organize literature on each domain and by prevention of wasting time and energy try to invest on new approaches in both L2 research and pedagogy. This paper aims to call for the Iranian L2 researchers to help the development of meta-analysis in English Language Teaching (ELT) community of Iran as supporting meta-analytic studies can promote the quality of empirical studies and therefore theory construction can be improved in Iran as well. As not considering to new approach might fall apart Iranian ELT community from the global community, this paper also aims to re-introduce and remind meta-analysis to Iranian L2 practitioners to call for training new L2 researchers to examine new domains of research inL2 pedagogy and try to add new pieces of knowledge to the existing knowledge. Finally, this paper recommends suggestions which might be helpful to get the presented goals. This paper might be interesting for all Iranian L2 practitioners as it concentrates on a topic which might not discuss in Iranian ELT community seriously before
