Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of age on the learning motivation of second language learners in EFL settings. For this purpose, 100 participants were selected randomly from two different age groups, starter EFL learners (n=50) with the age average of 8-10, and intermediate learners (n=50) with the age average of 13-15. Allparticipants were selected from an English institution with similar teachers and from the same environment. The modified AMTB (Attitude Motivation Testing Battery) was used to gather data. The results indicated that age is influential factor which affects learners’ motivation to learn
