Abstract:

Background: This study examines the relationship between cultural intelligence and spirituality in athlete students in Tehran Materials and Methods: According to the research aims, research methodology in terms of purpose, is practical and strategically is descriptive and data collection was conducted by field method. The study population consisted of all student-athletes in Tehran. Given the population size and using Morgan table, 210 students were selected as sample and sampling was done randomly. In this study, have been used the two standard cultural intelligence questionnaire, adapted from management of residential and spirituality Journal book of Hall and Edwards. After collecting the questionnaires, was used descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation, frequency, frequency percentage to describe the individual characteristics and research variables and statistical method of single-sample t, independent samples t, and Pearson correlation coefficient, Also SPSS v22 software was used to do statistical works. Results: The results showed that, there is a significant difference between the observed and hypothesis means of cultural intelligence (p <0/001) and spirituality (p <0/001) in athlete students of Tehran. There is a significant difference between scores mean of cultural intelligence in male and female athlete students of Tehran (p <0/024). There is a significant difference between amount of spirituality in male and female athlete students of Tehran (p <0/033). There is a significant relationship between cultural intelligence and spirituality in male and female athlete students of Tehran (p <0/001). Conclusion: Given the relationship between spirituality and cultural intelligence and its importance, it is recommended to hold training classes for the students, try to raise the spiritual dimension in the students
