خلاصه مقاله:
The present study aims to validate two-dimensional Lagrangian–Eulerian simulations of gas–solid fluidized beds by comparing this model with dedicated experimental data obtained with polyethylene Geldart type B particles of 1 mm size. Experimental data on pressure fluctuations and the power spectral density are compared with the Lagrangian– Eulerian model. It was found that, the simulation results showed similarities with the experimental result. Though qualitative trends found in the experiment are correctly reproduced by the simulations, it is found that the voids in this simulation are larger than observed in the experiments.
