خلاصه مقاله:
A novel method for conversion of plastic wastes to valuable chemicals through synthesis gas intermediate is introduced. The synthesis gas is produced through partial oxidation of plastic wastes in the presence of water vapor in a gasifier. The reaction is analyzed thermodynamically to understand the boundaries and constraints that thermodynamics imposes on process development. Unlike the conventional catalytic degradation method, the gasification method can utilize a wider range of feeds and the final products are also more diverse.
