Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to examine the causality relationship between export and economic growth for 13 Asian developing countries over the 1990 to 2015 years. The ARDL-Bounds test proposed by Pesaran et al. (2001) employed to analyze the long-run cointegration relationship between interested variables. Furthermore, a modified version of Granger causality test proposed by Toda and Yamamoto (1995) used to examine the causal relationship. The finding of this paper support the export-led growth (ELG) hypothesis in the sample of Thirteen Asian developing countries and support the growth-driven export (GDE) hypothesis for ten countries
