Abstract:

The process of cutting rocks is one of the important steps in processingconstruction rocks which requires huge production costs. The energyconsumption rate of cutting machines and the use of disk cuttingmachines are the most important costly factors in this section of theproduction process. Study of the effect of different factors such asoperational conditions, type of cutting machine, etc. on theaforementioned factors can be an important step in reducing costs andreaching optimal cutting conditions. In the present research, it isattempted to evaluate the energy consumption rate of the disk cuttingmachine under different conditions of using coolant and lubricant fluids. For this reason, three fluids, including two soap water fluids with ratiosof 1 to 20 and 1 to 40 and the lubricant & coolant powder were studiedas the coolant and lubricant fluids under different operational conditions.Linear and nonlinear multivariate statistical models were provided usingSPSS software for the states and the obtained results were analyzed usingstatistical tests. Results obtained from studies showed that in case ofusing the lubricant & coolant powder, the ampere consumption rate wasreduced significantly.
