Abstract:
Granulation tissue is a known complication of tracheostomy. Herniation of trachealposterior wall from hole of siliconic tube can mimic mass or granulation tissue. The patient was a41-year old female visited for removing the tracheal tube. She had a history of brain arteriovenusmalformation surgery, intensive care unit admission and long term siliconic tracheostomy tubeinsertion. In bronchoscopy vision, she had a large bluish incarcerated mass like tissue in theposterior wall of trachea that fixed the siliconic tube to tracheal wall and limited the moving of it.By using a bronchoscopic guide we pushed the mass from the hole of the tracheal tube and removedit. In the second look the mass like tissue was disappeared.
