Abstract:

Pulmonary metastases occasionally, do not respond to chemotherapy and surgery.Moreover, some low grade stage cancer patients which spectacle surgery indications, are notmedically able to tolerate surgery. In such cases, microwave tumor ablation technique is convenientresulting in tumor destruction. Microwave tumor ablative therapy includes a low morbidity andmortality rate compared with traditional cancer treatments. Moreover, lower procedural cost, thepotential to perform in an outpatient setting and repeatability are the valuable aspects. Hereby, wereport an adenocarcinoma case, potentially inappropriate for surgical operation that underwentpercutaneous microwave pulmonary tumor ablation on August 2015 at the bronchoscopy and laserward of Shahid beheshti medical university, Iran.
