This paper presents the methodological approach for the use of HIL simulation for evaluation of jet engine fuel controller. In this approach the real-time simulation of the aircraft and jet engine are performed. The actual electronic fuel controller is then integrated with the aircraft and engine models using a Matlab/xPC target in order to construct an HIL simulation. The experimental results are obtained to show the effectiveness of the approach. The test results verify the transient and steadystate performance of the engine fuel control system.
