Abstract:

Background: Today, acceleration the rate of wound healing in skin injuries has been of ideal interest to medical Professions. Silver nanoparticles have antimicrobial activity through several effects. Therefore the use of them has become very widespread especially for wound healing. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of oral silver nanoparticles on wound healing. Methods and material: In this descriptive study 30 Wistar male rats were divided into three groups including control, 30ppm oral silver nanoparticles and 60 ppm. The average diameter of the wounds and histopathological findings were examined in 12th day after treatment in the control and modulations .Both descriptive and statistical analysis methods were applied. P value<0.05. Results: The amounts of wound healing in the 2 treated groups in the time scales of12th day showed a significant difference between 30ppm treated group and control group. ( P <0.001) and the difference of 60ppm treated group and control group was significant.( P <0.001) Conclusion: : The occurrence of wound healing in two various oral silver nanoparticles concentration was increased significantly in comparison with control group. Also we found oral nanosilver particls in 30ppm concentration for wound healing in wistar male rat was more effective than 60ppm and control. It can beemphasizing, this healing process occurred due to synergicity of proliferation improvement and anti-inflammatory effects.
