Abstract:
This paper includes the study effect of palm fiber on the properties of reactive powder concrete in order to produce building unit. Palm fiber concrete consist of cement, sand and palm fibers as fine sand of different proportions (20,30,50)%by vol of concrete. The new sand addition have of low density improve the properties of the concrete by adding environmentally friendly materials and low cost. We found that the compressive strength decrease (0.26, 3.9, 5.49)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 7 days respectively, decrease (2.86, 3.66, 5.75)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 28 days respectively, decrease (2.61 , 4.44 , 6.80)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 60 days respectively, and density decrease (0.21, 0.21, 0.62)% )% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 7 days respectively, decrease (0.41, 0.83,0.83)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 28 days respectively, decrease (0.42, 0.83, 0.84 )% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 60 days respectively, and absorption increase (2.7, 8.1 , 10.8)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 7days respectively, increase (2.7, 8.1 , 13.5)% when use (20,30,50)% palm fiber for curing age 28 days respectively, increase (5.4, 10.8 , 16.2)% when use (0.5, 1, 1.5)% palm fiber for curing age 60 days respectively.
