خلاصه مقاله:
The industrial products manufactured from polystyrene are one of the most important pollution material to the environment , because of the fact that polystyrene is non-biodegradable polymers. So this research aims first to rid of the environment of these pollutants and secondly the possibility of producing alternative materials of other industrial benefit.The produced materials from the recycling of the polystyrene via thermal degradation of the waste polymers is styrene monomer and the proportion of styrene monomer that could be obtained from this process was 70-75 %. The styrene monomer was polymerized by free radical through the addition polymerization to polystyrene .Then the polystyrene was sulfonated to produced a conductive polymer compared to the non conductive polystyrene it self. On the other hand the residue from the pyrolysis process of waste polymers can be converted to anew polyurethane foams through the reaction with di-isocynate compounds and These foams may be used for analytical purposes or thermal insulation because of their thermal stability.
