Sand production control by four methods

Difficulties arising due to sand migration during oil production from oil wells, lead to propose some methods for controlling sand migration near the well. Several techniques have been used for sand production control in sandstone reservoirs. In this research, the sand obtained from oil tanks was cemented by four different methods, and in each method the samples of cemented sand were prepared for conducting experiments. For performing sand consolidation experiments, resin was used in three methods and in-situ combustion was used in one method. After making the samples in these methods and conducting the experiments of permeability, porosity and compressive strength, it is observed that these given methods provide reasonable and significant results.
