Abstract:
Bcc is the most common cancer in US and the world and at least 2 times more than SCC. Rarely metastatic, local destruction with disfigurement and may involve extensive areas of soft tissue, cartilage and bone.Good prognosis due to low rate of metastasis Radiotherapy is best suited for poor surgical candidates and patients with extensive lesions not amenable to surgery RT may be indicates if margins are closed or involved and also PNI, bone or cartilage involvement Surgery and adjuvant RT can reduce locoregional recurrences and also increase disease free survival.SCC is a neoplasm of keratinizing cells that shows malignant characteristics, including rapid growth, local invasion and metastatic potential Many of treatments for BCC are also appropriate for SCC Indications for adjuvant RT includes positive margins ,PNI, multiple recurrences and for underling tissue invasion.
