Abstract:
Clinoptilolite was pretreated by mechanical ball-mill method to obtain nanoparticles and it wasmodified by DMG. The raw and modified samples were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM,BET, TG-DTG and energy dispersive analysis X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The modifiedClinoptilolite nano-particles with DMG (NClino-DMG) were used for the modification ofcarbon paste electrode (NClin-DMG-CPE). The modified electrode was then used forvoltammetric determination of Ni(II) in aqueous solution. To determine the interaction ofexperimental parameters, response surface methodology (RSM) was used. The effects of somekey operating parameters such as: zeolite particle size, nature and concentration of thesupporting electrolytes, pH of solution, electrode ingredients and potential scan rate on thevoltammetric behavior of the modified electrode were studied.
