Abstract:

Ascorbic acid (AA) is a water-soluble vitamin found in biological systems [1]. Differentanalytical techniques have been advanced for determination of AA such as liquidchromatography [2] and spectrophotometry [3]. Due to its biological importance, it is essential todevelop rapid, selective and sensitive method for its routine and reliable determination in variousmatrices [1]. Electrochemical technique for the determination of AA represented a lot ofattention in the last few years due to its simplicity, low cost, high sensitivity and selectivity [1].In this study, a type of carbon paste electrode using Ni-salen complexes encapsulated in the NaXnanozeolite was prepared and was used for determination of AA by differential pulsevoltammetry (DPV) technique.
