Abstract:

GIS, has very good effectiveness for studying the spatial distribution of many diseases, including TB. This study aimed to determine the spatial distribution of TB cases in Hamadan Province. After taking TB data from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences for 2005 to 2013, hot and cold spots formation with and without considering the generated predicted values based on regression model scanned. Locating of Hot spots in northern and north-eastern parts of province (Razan, Hamadan, Kabudrahang and Famenain cities) with greater longitude and cold spots in southern and southwestern parts of province (south-western of Hamadan and in Asadabad, Toyserkan and Nahavand cites) with lower longitude. Although more epidemiological studies at individual level are needed, it probably isn’t exaggeration that longitude has main effect on formation of hot and cold spots.
