Abstract:

anthracene-9-carboxylic acid (HL1) is selected as a primary ligand, and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane, 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene and piperazine used as auxiliary ligands to incorporate with anthracene-9-carboxylic acid to construct three tin(IV)-carboxylato coordination complexes, 1-3, with rich photoluminescence and unexpected structural features. All prepared complexes were fully characterized based on their 1H NMR, IR and UV spectra and elemental analysis. The molecular structures of them were determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The crystal structure of coordination compounds 1-3 is mainly composed of two components, a complex anion and a cation. In all three complexes, the L1 adopts a bidentate syn-syn bridging coordination mode using two oxygen atoms of the carboxylate group. The optical properties investigation exhibited that auxiliary ligands have a significant effect on the control and modify of optical properties of compounds 1-3.
