Due to environmental concerns, safety considerations and the green chemistry’s goals, magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) have obtained considerable interest in different organic reactions recently. Therefore, in this paper the preparation of sulfuric acid functionalized silica-coated magnetite nanoparticles (CoNiFe2O4@Silica-SO3H) are presented. The catalyst was characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM). The magnetic nanocomposite easily attracts with an external magnet.
