Abstract:
In this paper, CoFe 2O4 and CoFe2O4 -CNT nanocomposite powders have been synthesized by a co-precipitation method. The effects of CNTs unctionalizationf process were investigated to achieve a better distribution of CNTs in nanocomposite powder. The microstructure and structure of samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) andX-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. According to the SEM results, the CoFe2O 4 nanoparticles were found to have na average size of about 25 nm. Magnetic properties also measured with vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The saturation magnetization value of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles and CoFe2O4- functionalized CNT nanocomposite was 66 emu/g and 56 emu/g, respectively.
