NEAR-SHORE CIRCULATION AND WATER MASS STRUCTURE IN THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE BALTIC SEA

The water in the Baltic Sea is composed by a twolayer structure - the deep layer and the surface one. There are, however, differences in the near shore zone associated with bottom relief, seasonality and weather conditions. During joint expeditions of Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Baltic Federal University in 2009-2016, we carried out ADCP measurements in more than 1000 CTD stations along the shore of Sambian peninsula near Kaliningrad (See Figure 1).
