Abstract:

In this paper rules for a fault diagnosis system based on order analysis used for feature extraction on a transmission system working under run-up condition are proposed. The study uses Gabor OT (GOT) technique and a modified version of it to handle the order-crossing problem at resonance frequency occurrence. Then, these methods are objectively used for fault detection on a damaged gear set by extracting order features which contain most information about the faults. Experimental investigation of proposed methods on Pride gearbox system with various faults and extracting statistical features show the effectiveness of proposed fault diagnosis algorithms based on extracted Gabor orders as fault features.
