Abstract:

Background and Aim: Exercise exercises can have a significant effect on the health and development of the fetus by preventing excessive weight gain during pregnancy, in addition to maternal healthMethods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted in 1396 with the aim of investigating and comparing the effect of 12 weeks aerobic training on the morning and evening routine on maternal body composition up to two months postpartum. Participants were divided into three groups: morning aerobic exercise (29), aerobic training (26 people) and control group (27 people) and exercised for 12 weeks. The training program consisted of 12 three-part sessions with a duration of each session of 40-50 minutes including continuous walking. Exercise intensity was 60% of maximum heart rate reserve in primary sessions and it reached 45% of maximum heart rate reserve from 27th week of pregnancy until the end in the final sessions. Results: The aerobic exercise exercises had an effect on the body fat content of the participants (P = 0.020), but there was no significant difference between the morning and evening exercises (P = 0.422). The aerobic exercise exercises had a significant effect on the BMI of the participants (P = 0.022), but there was no significant difference between the morning and evening exercises (P = 0.293). Conclusion: Aerobic exercises in the morning and in the evening, in addition to the excessive increase in the body fat percentage, prevent pregnant women during pregnancy, there will be no adverse effects on the anthropometric indices of newborns.
