Nowadays, research on the relation between nutrition and health was focused on the relation of diets quality and non-communicable disease. While some documents reported that nutritional deficiency and hidden hunger was common in the world. Sustainable nutrition was: nutrition plan and diets with low environmental impacts which contribute to food and nutrition security and to healthy life for present and future generations. One of the indices for healthy life was physical activity. A large and growing published evidence shows that physical activity has wide spectrum of health benefits, and physical inactivity was known as a modifiable risk factor for obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and certain types of cancer. Any type of physical activity cause different physiological changes and has different health outcomes. Physical inactivity was common in Iranian people, especially in female and older age groups. It is interesting to notice that the food insecurity was found to be associated with less physical activity among both children and adults. One of the most popular and powerful reason for physical activity was the weight control. Clinicians and dietitian should have much information on different type of physical activity, and educate their patients on their physical activity program and emphasize that numerous health benefits occur from physical activity programs in the absence of weight loss. The collection of lectures and reviews in this symposium improve our understanding on the bilateral effects between triangle of physical activity, health, and nutrition.
