Abstract:

In this work cobalt ferrite nanoparticles have been synthesized by means of co-precipitationmethod. The effects of biocompatible fatty acid (Omega-3) shell [1], on the structural andmagnetic properties of the as synthesized sample have been studied by X-Ray Diffraction(XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer(VSM). Also the toxicity of the coated nanoparticles has been investigated. Obtained resultsfrom XRD shows that cobalt ferrite nanoparticles have spinel structure [2] and FTIR resultconfirms that the omega-3 shell coated nanoparticles effectively. Also the toxicity of them arevery trivial.
