Abstract:

he armed azacrown ethers, especially lariat ethers have a unique guest specificity via the cro-ring-side arm cooperativity[1]. Presence of a substituent on the nitrogen atom yed an important role in the cation binding ability, and hence in the catalytic activity of azacrown ethers. In addition, the aza-crowns are important intermediates for the nthesis of cryptands, nitrogen-pivot lariat crown ethers, and other species requiring on or o nitrogens in the macroring[2].The ability of oxygen donor crown ethers specifically t o ions has been used extensively to bind and isolate alkali and alkaline earth metal ions om solution. Macrocyclic aza crown compound have gained a great deal of attention due their applications in analysis, microanalysis, metal sepration, sensoring, biology ophysics and ecology[3]. this research work, we want to prepare a new macrocycle as crown compounds, by ction of epychlorohidrin with [1, 13-dioxa-5,9-diaza-dibenzo] sulfoxo (18-C -5), which ve been functionalized with OH group in their rings. or this purpose, bis [(4- methyl) phenol] 2, 2 -sulfoxide prepared, then it was reacted with ally oride and para chloro per benzoic acid for preparing of bis [(o-methyl oxiran) p-cresyl] 2, 2 f oxid. After that, tri methylene diamine was reacted with bis [(o-methyl oxiran) p-cresyl] 2, 2 f oxid and its produce became [1, 13-dioxa-5, 9-diaza-dibenzo] sulfoxo (18-C-5). The -C-5) aza crown was reacted with epychlorohidrin to synthesis new lariat aza crow n heme 1a), then lariat crown reacted with (18-C-5) again to prepared dimmer az own(scheme 1b). The structures of these new macrocycles have proved by spectral dat luding IR, 1H NMR and 13CNMR.
