Abstract:
Distillation is one of the most important separation methods both in chemical and petrochemical industries [1]. Generally there are about 90% of all separation processes in product recovery and purification. However, this process involves large energy consumption due to the heat to be supplied to the bottom reboiler and the heat to be removed from the top condenser[2]. Hysys is one the most important and efficient of the softwares that is used in distillation,s simulation and optimization[3]. In petrochemical industry and process of Ethylene Glycol, production was used from the reaction between Ethylene Oxide and water. Therefore, 1,4Dioxane is one of the by product in this reaction. One of the problem in EO-EG petrochemical units is separating of this material from main pruduct i.e EG. in this study,simulation of distillation process has done with Hysys software by using SRK and PRSV equation of state and suitable operational condition were determined by using this software.
