Abstract:
One of the suitable methods for separation of Dioxan produced in Ethylene Glycol units in petrochemical industry that specially Ethylene Glycol production with hydration method to Ethylene Oxide is using extraction with n-Hexane as a solvent for separation of Dioxan by product[1,2]. In this study, simulation and optimization of mentioned process was done with using Hysys software and SRK,PRSV equations of state. Whereas purification and separation of impures from petrochemical and chemical products have been important and economically, that influences directly upon products final price therefore, separation of impures from this product, in Ethylene Glycol manufacture unit in petrochemical industries is essential and using of operational softwares can be applied as a efficient impelement in the optimization of purification condition.whereas, in this process, Hysys sofware for simulation and optimization was used and suitable operational conditional were determined.
