Abstract:

Nitrate in drinking water is regarded as a serious concern for drinking water pollution. There are different methods for removal of nitrate from drinking water, which among these methods benefiting from adsorbents has drown many attractions because of the ease of use and affordability. Grapheme is widely used as an adsorbent for removal of pollutants such as heavy metals, organic compounds from water. In this article, isotherms of nitrate adsorption from drinking water by Nano grapheme is environmental temperature and pH=7 is investigate. Four different adsorption models used to investigate the adsorption phenomena: Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevichadsorption isotherms investigated. The results showed that Nano-Graphene could be used as an adsorbent for removal of nitrate from drinking water and adsorption isotherm conforms to the Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm and adsorption constant and adsorption capacity calculated as following:
