Abstract:

Microsporidia are obligately single-celled organisms that can only reproduce in living cells. Different species of them have been known from nature, which have different sort of life cycles: quite simple and very complex. Although many species have potential to be natural control agents, they have been used in many applications as biological pesticides rather than being used as natural enemies. For understanding the life cycles of entomopathogens , which naturally exist in host populations, it is important to consider vertical transmission as a major problem in beneficial insect colonies or as classical biological control agents . As many entomopathogens are transmitted horizontally beside vertical transmission, it can be beneficial to study different types of transmission for better prediction of special ecological hosts from physiological datas.
