Abstract:

PVC plastisol are suspension of PVC resin in plasticizers. In this research we successfully evaluated the effect of ceramic micro sphere on mechanical and rheological properties of PVC plastisol. We used ceramic micro sphere which was made with inorganic cortex in 5 to 20 weight percent in samples and its effect on density and mechanical properties was evaluated. Micro spheres lightened the plastisols weight. Also these microsphere caused the increase in Shore-A hardness also affected the tensile and elongation. Some other properties such as rheology using infinite shear viscosity , yield point in CSR mode and 3ITT were evaluated. Results showed that the structure of plastisols could be rebuilt after shear and time the recovery was reduced by adding more percentage of ceramic micro spheres
