خلاصه مقاله:
Droplet deformation in an electric field has a vast variety of applications in industrial, biomedical, and biochemical processes. Therefore, a large number of researchers delve into exploring different aspects of this phenomenon. In the present investigation, effect of non-uniform electric field on droplet deformation is numerically analyzed. This nonuniformity is applied into the medium by changing electrode alignment and placing the droplet between two concentric cylinders. The obtained results demonstrate that when the non-uniformity in the electric field exists, droplet starts moving towards a location with less energy to become stable. However, it presents a higher deformation comparing to a case with the uniform electric field.
