Abstract:

In this study, Fe-N-TiO2 deposited on CPO-Cu (Fe-N-TiO2/CPO-Cu composite) was synthesized via a solvothermal method and characterized by XRD, BET and TGA analysis. The samples were used as a photocatalyst for the photoreduction of CO2 to produce methane and methanol as a valuable solar fuel under UV-visible light irradiation. The synthesized Fe-N-TiO2/CPO-Cu nanocomposite was showed improved activity to produce productions due to its high adsorption capacity towards CO2, high surface area and the effective charge transfer from TiO2 to CPO-Cu. The rates of methane and methanol produced from the CO2 photoreduction over the Fe-N-TiO2/CPO-Cu sampleunder 70 w UV-visible light were 161.2 μmol g-1 h-1 and 4.5 μmol g-1 h-1, respectively
