The first 60 pages of Google Scholar was searched by the following key words: e-learning, e-teaching, Iranian studies, English language. Only the sources that were written in English were collected and reviewed. The sources found on e-learning and e-teaching in Iranian context were categorized into the following categories: Web 2.0, ICT, M-learning, social networks, wikispaces, blogging, e-mail, and so on. The systematic review of the collected Iranian studies on e-learning revealed that some area of research in this field are rather unexplored, e.g., e-learning in some disciplines such as psychology, sociology, philosophy, basic and engineering sciences.
