Abstract:

In recent years, hydrogels have attracted much attention as bio-materials. Polymers are an essential and undeniable part of the drug delivery systems. In the drug delivery, increasing the degree of swelling (DS) of polymeric hydrogels is a decisive parameter. In this study, the DS of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) hydrogel included by zinc oxide nanoparticle (ZnO) has been studied in two modes of surface modification and without surface modification. The Swelling test has shown increased DS by decrease radiation dose.
