Abstract:

The aim of this study was investigated the histopathological changes in the gill tissue of Otolithes ruber in the Gulf of Pozm from the southern coast of Iran, located in the Oman Sea. Sampling was done for this purpose, fish collected with an average length of 24.2 ± 6.3 cm and an average weight of 245.9 ± 8.06 grams from 5 stations (near and offshore) with three replications and by using a toughened tower. Tissues were prepared for histological study by using routine histology method and Histokinette. Most of the observed changes in gill tissue was lifting epithelium, mucus secretion, hyperplasia and hypertrophy chloride cells, clubbing, shorter blade, and necrosis. The results indicated that there were more tissue lesions in the gills of caught fish from near-coast stations
