Abstract:

Turkey is rich in terms of animal species with fauna element centering from the north-west, north-east, east, and south. Bats are among these elements. Forty-one bat species are distributed in Turkey. Of these, one is frugivorous and the others are insectivorous. The main roots, preferred by bats in Turkey are caves, ruins, manmade buildings, tunnels, bridges, forested areas (tree hollows) and rocky areas (rock cracks). This study is based on the karyological peculiarities of greater horseshoe bat, lesser mouse-eared bat and common bent wing bat distributed both in the eastern Anatolia. The diploid number (2n), fundamental arm chromosomes (NF) and fundamental autosomal arm chromosomes (NFa) along with the shapes of the chromosomes are determined. In addition, C- and Ag-NOR banding of the chromosomes the species are also done
