Abstract:
Quinoxaline derivatives are an important class of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds that have received abundant attention owing to their significant role inpharmaceutical industry [1]. Nowadays, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been preferred as the catalyst support [2] because of their advantages such as small size, great surface areas and activity. These nanoparticles can be easily separated from the reaction medium by an external magnet without using extra chemicals [3].In the present study, Fe3O4@SiO2/TiCl3 NPs was prepared and the structure of this catalyst was studied by FT-IR, FESEM, TEM, XRD, XRF, EDX, TGA, BET and VSM techniques. Fe3O4@SiO2/TiCl3 NPs was used for the synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives through condensation of 1,2-diamines and 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds at room temperatureunder solvent-free conditions. The structures of obtained products were identified by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. We can point out simple and mild experimental procedure, short reaction time and high yields of the products as the advantages of this method
