Synthesis and Characterization of a new polyamine containing piperazine moiety and related potentially N6O2 donors ligands together with corresponding Zn(II) complexes

Schiff base complexes have remained an important and popular area of research due to their simple synthesis, versatility and diverse range of applications [1]. Piperazine is a well-known building block for novel supramolecular structures due to the presence of two weakly held terminal amino protons [2]. We have designed and synthesized a new polyamine and related Schiff base macroacyclic ligands. These Schiff-base ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, 1H and 13C NMR and EI-Mass.
