Abstract:
Amines are an important class of organic materials with applications in synthetic chemistry and pharmacology [1]. Reduction of nitro compounds is a way for preparation of amines. Many protocols for reduction of nitro group is reported; however they suffer from problems such as long reaction time, cumbersome work up procedures and poor recyclability of the catalyst [2]. Here we report a novel catalyst with magnetic recyclability for reduction of nitro aromatics. The Fe3O4@Cit-Cu(II) is characterized using different methods including FT-IR,XRD, TGA, VSM, ICP, and SEM-EDX.
