Abstract:

The 1,2,3-triazole moiety, a key structural element of many natural products,pharmaceuticals and synthetic agents, has increasingly attracted the synthetic pursuit of chemists because of its important biological properties [1]. So far, numerous synthetic methods have been developed and reported in literature [2-3]. One of the most popular protocol for the preparation of these compounds is 1,3- dipolar Huisgen cycloaddition reaction which is catalyzed by Cu(I) and ruthenium(II). Development of new methods and catalysts for the synthesis of the aforementioned target molecules under cleaner and milder reaction conditions is of demands. Herein, we report preparation of a novel Cu(OAc)2/sulfadiazine complex (SCA) and used as a successfully catalyst for the synthesis of 1,2,3- triazole derivatives via a three-component condensation of terminal alkynes, benzyl halides and sodium azide under mild conditions (Scheme). The advantages of this method are using aqueous PEG 200 as a green solvent, low loadings Cupper catalyst, high yields, excellent regioselectivity, and clean reactions
