The safeHouse for the patient with epilepsy

Backgroud: Epilepsy is a disorder of the central nervous system that occurs the sudden and autonomous activity a group of nerve cells in the brain and leads to seizureand as a result occurs, the abnormal behaviors, symptoms and feelings, including loss of consciousness. Although it is very important that avoids taking too much care people with epilepsy,but safety tips at home reduce unexpected incidents. Methods: this is an overview study that is written by library and electronically searches, recent articles,internal and foreign scientific journals and digital resources. Findings: The most important safety issues related to the location of epileptic patients are covering with thick and soft cover, avoid smoking, the use of heaters safe appliances, ensure the safety of the Spa, kettle and Samovar, exit socketsof electrical devices after use, giving an extra key to a neighbor or a trusted person,Do not do the ironing, doing work with sharp instruments, such as knives and... in a sitting position, the use of furniture and household appliances that do not have sharp edges, not polished rooms or kitchenfloor, closing the door of cupboards and drawers, using electric appliances with automatic key, sharp tools such as knifes and forks, placed downward in the kitchen, use of unbreakablefurniture, opening the seams of bathroom door, avoid bathing when the patient is alone at home, proper covering for bathroom floor, bathing in sitting position, use of soft and short beds, don t use a glass decoration, use multiple staircase on the stairs, watch TV from the proper distance and angle with 45 degrees, avoiding from computer games and etc. Conclusion: Safety in the lifestyle is very important in the living of epileptic patients, andsignificantly reduces the unwanted and preventableincidents.
