Abstract:
Introduction:In this decade, the world has witnessed some emergencies and disasters with deadly human effects. As Hospital staff are among the first individuals encountering disasters, specially Nurses are count on and expected to fulfill responsible roles during disaster situations, but little is known about the personnel concerns, when they meet expectations and function as disaster responders. Since Tehran Razi Psychiatric Hospital is prone to many disasters, we aim to investigate the concerns of the staff of this hospital during disasters. Method: The study was performed in 2016; and conducted using qualitative content analysis methods. 23 Participants were selected purposefully and data were collected through interviews, focus group, observation, and other documents. Data saturation maintained the sample size.Results: Disaster based resiliency was the main theme. Three main categories include Ignoring the human basic needs and lack of disaster-based organization and emotional response . And we found 10 sub-categories, and 71 codes. Most of staff concern about their family in time of disaster.Conclusion: It seems for appropriate and effective response during disaster, need to be resolve main concerns of hospital personnel, and improve resiliency of hospital, foreffective response and prevent loss in front of disaster
