Abstract:
Today, managers in all organizations, including banks, are demanding the optimal use of the facilities and available capacities in different sectors. With the emerging sales culture and segmentation of customers in universal banking system within banks, managers need to evaluate deposit attraction production, financial serving customer and profit generation performance. The problem is that in many real situations like universal banking industry, the inputs and outputs of the data envelopment analysis model are not definite, accurate, and desirable. Also in practice, different decision making units may have different proportions of each shared resources. The purpose of this paper is to propose fuzzy Network data envelopment analysis model based on slacksbased measure with consideration of undesirable variables and shared resourcesin order to measure the efficiency of Iranian bank branches in universal banking system. The results show that in a competitive universal banking environment, the proposed model can provide banking industry managers with sufficient insight to adopt management policies in credible and realistic situations and in various sectors.
