Abstract:

IntroductionAt present, minimal invasive laparoscopic techniques represent an upgrade of standard laparoscopy in : terms of patients needs related to no body image trauma with visible scars. Single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) has recently emerged as a method to decrease morbidity and improve cosmetic benefit rather than conventional laparoscopic surgery. The aim of the study is to compare the outcomes of SILS.via conventional laparoscopy Material & Methods An online search of PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct was performed to identify relevant studies in English using key words single incision laparoscopic surgery .conventional laparoscopic seurgery postoperative complication during 2010-2018 Resultsarticles were selected following database searches, of which 27 100 : Articles were relevant and included in the review studies show that SILS has the potential advantages of reduced postoperative pain and reduce the scar of port site (hernia, port site infection), minimizing thesize of the access wound and avoiding increased risk of hernia. Careful attention to closure can lead to virtually scarless surgery. In addition complication that is indicated above, operating time was relatively longer in SILS, this approach could provide easier access to surgical site. SILS provide a good body image for patientes. Minimal use of postoperative narcotics was required, and no intraoperative complicationsoccurred. Patients responded positively regarding cosmetic result and minimal postoperative pain control .in PACUConclusion SILS is feasible and safe when performed by an experienced laparoscopic surgeon and operating room : theatre team. It may have advantages over conventional laparoscopic surgery in terms of reduced pain, .lower cost, faster recovery and cosmetic benefits, and no need for additional trocar placement
